About Us

WE ARE A FAMILY OWNED BUSINESS

Rooted Learners LAAB was founded by Mariesmer Sanchez and Ramon Perez, a husband-and-wife team with over a decade of experience in early childhood education and family childcare.

The name Rooted Learners reflects our foundation—we are rooted in Christ and committed to nurturing children through faith, purpose, and intentional learning.

LAAB is built from the initials of our three children—Lismarie, Adam, and Allen, with “B” representing Blessed.

Joyful discovery — children learn naturally when they feel free to explore, ask questions and imagine.

Strong foundations — we create routines and activities that support language, number sense, teamwork and independence.

Heart-felt care — every child is known, valued and encouraged by teachers who listen, respond and celebrate each milestone.

Our Journey

With over 14 years of experience in the early childhood education field, we are passionate about creating a nurturing and enriching environment for children and families. Throughout the years, we have proudly partnered with programs such as the Food Program, Early Learning Coalition, and DCF, while continuously advancing our education and training to better serve our community.

We are also proud to be growing within the homeschooling community, supporting families with resources, guidance, and a love for lifelong learning.

We hold:

• Background clearances

• First Aid & CPR

• CDA

• 45-hour DCF training

• Staff & Director Credentials

• College education in Early Childhood Education

Ramon Perez also holds a Director Credential and has coached Little League and youth sports for over 10 years.

Mariesmer Sanchez serves as a business mentor through the Early Learning Coalition’s Business Institute.
